| Sunday School Canned Food Drive |
The Sunday School children will be
collecting nonperishable food items
and donating their offerings to
Bethesda Food Pantry for the
month of February. While food
pantries get plenty of donations
during the holidays, they often lack
food later in the winter. The kids
can make a difference! Look at the
orange bulletin board downstairs to
see how many items the kids can
bring!

The Servant Songs: Our Lenten
services February 24 through
March 24 will focus on the Servant
Songs form Isaiah. Often we think
of the Old Testament as Law and
the New Testament as Gospel. The
Servant Songs prove the contrary.
They contain beautiful passages
about the willingness of God's
servant to suffer for all people. As
Christians we see Jesus as the
Servant who was chosen to receive
the punishment we deserve for our
sins. As we listen to these songs,
we hear what was in Jesus' mind as
he suffered for us.
